MixCoach Playbook – Tips for Using AudioSuite in Pro Tools

Sometimes you just need to print that perfect plug-in setting you spent hours getting. Here’s a really quick and easy way to do it without waiting in “real time.”
Do You mind sharing this with your friends? I’d REALLY appreciate it.

  1. Interesting comparison between the two Kevin.

I am definitely a Melodyne Celemony guy.

I think Auto-Tune is great for the exaggerated “Cher” effect. And for less aggressive tuning. If I had some extra cash to plop down on something I would probably buy it.

I did find a video on how to make Melodyne do an exaggerated “Cher” effect but I haven’t tried it yet. Auto-Tune would have to win on this one effect. But for natural sounding correction without artifacts it just seems like Melodyne does a better job to my ears.

I heard “Come On Baby Let The Good Times Roll” a while ago and as I listened I wondered what that song would have sounded like if both vocals had been aggressively pitch corrected?

    1. It’s hard to beat “double clicking” for the cher effect. I’ve tried it on melodyne, but as far as gentle tuning, AT does it best. You have to track everything in on Melodyne. I wonder when they will come up with real time.. it’ll kill AT.
